On March 29th, 2017, the United Kingdom submitted to the European Council  the notification of its intention to leave the Union, in accordance with the terms of the article 50.ยบ of the European Union Treaty. Therefore, the United Kingdom will leave the EU on March 29th, 2019, exactly two years after the said notification, and from March 30th, 2019 all Union laws will no longer apply to the UK, a "third country" (non-EU country).
