Company INCOVECA
Founded in 1979, Incoveca began its activity exclusively geared towards the civil construction and public works industry. However, it quickly directed its activity to the ornamental stone manufacturing sector, building its first factory unit in Sernancelhe.
Since its inception, the company has understood the
importance of the interaction between the extracting and manufacturing sectors. It started prospecting, licensing and exploiting several granite quarries in its region.
Incoveca evolved technologically, gaining market share
both in Portugal, as well as in various other countries.
Between 1993 and 1996, it acquired, respectively, the
industrial units in Mundão and Caparrosa, thus, expanding its range of products by manufacturing in series alibrated and bevelled 1 cm thick granite tiles, as well as cut to size material in granite, marble and limestone.
Thus, the company’s structural growth culminated in the formation of the largest Portuguese group dedicated to the extraction and manufacturing of ornamental stone.
