Company created on the 22nd October 1928 the name Sociedade Portuguesa de Explosivos (SPEL), MAXAMPOR S.A., produces, stores and distributes explosives for civil use.
MAXAMPOR S.A. is integrated in the MAXAM Group, leader in the European sector market, present in more than 50 continents, in the development, manufacturing and trade of civil explosives and initiation systems, being also a leader in cartridges and hunting gunpowder used in sports, it also dedicates itself to the industry of defense and furnishing of raw materials for nitro chemistry.
MAXAMPOR activity comprises all stages of business: supply, production, storage, trade, distribution, customer care and quality control and guarantee of products. The presentation of integrated solutions of added value for our clients is today one of the main targets of the company.
MAXAMPOR provides all the products made and traded by the MAXAM Group: dynamites, Ammonium Nitrate, hydrogel, emulsions, gunpowder, detonating cords, fuse, electrical detonators and non-electrical detonators – high technology products, distinguished by its high quality and security.
MAXAMPOR has facilities in the Rego da Amoreira – Alcochete, where it produces dismantling explosives (emulsions, hydrogel and Ammonium Nitrate). The storage is made in this factory and also at the storage center of Jales in Vila Pouca de Aguiar.
MAXAMPOR customers are characterized by being part of the transforming and inert exploitation industry – quarries and mines – and in the construction, public works and cement industry, and are almost in all of the national territory – continent and islands – as well as in some Portuguese speaking countries.
