Founded on the 2nd of August 1996 ""Granifinas, Exploração de Pedreiras, LDA."" has initiated its activity the same way as most of the companies of the extractive industry where it stands.
With a small shed in which its managing partners promoted its activity, Granifinas has been growing and prospering always having in mind the values of humility and hard work to survive in such a competitive environment.
About two years later, Granifinas, has managed to evolve, innovate and stimulate to a level never seen before becoming the first exploitative Ponte de Lima granite company to have an international dimension. With this huge growth and the need to explore news markets, came the need to certify its procedures and the quality evidence! In April 2010, Granifinas has become the first exploitative company in the county of Viana do Castelo and in Portugal to be certified.
We are also very proud of being responsible for the registration of the Ponte de Lima Granite as Natural Stone with designation of origin.
