At the 7th November 1988 is founded the company “MAGRAFER – Construções, Materiais de Construção e Granitos, Lda# with headquarters at the county of Vila Pouca de Aguiar.

Once its activity was focused in the extraction and manufacturing of the product “Granite of Pedras Salgadas”, its operation area centered in the location of Pedras Salgadas and surrounding counties.

At the 4th of December 1997, due to comercial aspects, the company name changed to “GRANIFERREIRA – Granitos e Construções, Lda” but remaining the headquarters at the same place – Location of Pedras Salgadas.

At the 2nd of November 2001, with the purpose of better serving its customers it changed its location to Vilarinho da Samardã, which is more accessible and with the needed area to the constant expansion of the company. To this fact it also combined the need to fulfill the customers’ demands regarding raw material “Granito Amarelo Real”, which is more abundant in this area.

The development was progressive, always closed accompanied by the updating of the productive procedures and technological means.
In the course of this chronological time, GRANIFERREIRA was consequently increasing its variety of products, and is proud to meet the customer’s needs in any kind of stonework, plates, cubes, blocks and in the most diverse finishing, sawn, honed, polished, bushammered in Granite Amarelo Real, Pedras Salgadas, Cinza Telões and others.

Since its formation, GRANIFERREIRA dedicates itself to the extraction and manufacturing of granites for construction industry. Having always the commitment of offering to its customers a high quality level and products which satisfy its requirements and expectations.

Currently GRANIFERREIRA has around 25 employees and uses in the extraction and manufacturing of granite all sorts of topo of the line machinery.
