"Tecnovia Açores, Sociedade de Empreitadas S.A. was created in 1998, from the parent company Tecnovia S.A., inheriting from this one the human means, equipment and technical experience.
Tecnovia S.A. has initiated its activity in Açores in 1976 with the built of the Funas – Ribeira Quente road, and from that date it has not stopped the expansion of its activity in all the islands of this region, and in 2013 it arrived to Ilha do Corvo.
Always corresponding to requests to the construction of important public works in Açores, Tecnovia has presented itself in a different way from competition with a more innovative nature, it began to invest in infrastructures which allowed them to do their activity in a solid base.
Tecnovia is proud of its extensive relation and collaboration with the Regional Government in several enterprises and of having being pioneer in big construction works. The strong presence in the Açores has taken several outside companies to meet Tecnovia in order to form partnerships profiting from the potentialities already proven along the years.
Tecnovia Açores S.A. has been doing since its beginning major investments and installation recoveries in a way that it can respond to all the requests they receive. The company has been renewing and reinforcing its machinery, equipment as well as recovering the existing one and endowing this one of technical and security improvements as well as working conditions.
To embody such a wide activity, the company owns an adjusted technical framework in terms of quantity as well as quality. We must emphasize the effort spent in training new collaborators born in Açores, which has been done since its implementation. Today, about 70% of the headcount of Tecnovia Açores are Azorean and it goes from skilled trades to several levels including university students.
