Within the scope of the Internationalization Project 2020|Pedra E+, ANIET promoted the participation of several companies at the 2017 Marmomacc International Fair, which took place from September 27th to 30th, in Verona, Italy.

Considered the reference fair of the sector, Marmomacc, in its 52nd edition, was attended by 1.650 companies (which occupied an exhibition area of more than 80.000 m2), where 64% were international exhibitors from 56 countries, thus attracting 68.000 professionals from 147 countries.

The exhibition covers the entire value chain, combining raw materials, products, machinery and culture in an unique event, as this edition dedicated a special attention to the design world.

Aiming at the promotion of the sector and showing its potentialities, it was given continuity to the training courses for architects, managed by the Marmomacc Academy.
As in previous editions, official institutional visits took place, including those of the indian business delegation, led by the indian ambassador in Italy, Reenat Sandhu, and by the brazilian group accompanied by the governor of the State of Espírito Santo, Paulo Hartung.

This year's edition also featured the debut of the collaboration with the Milan Design Film Festival - with a series of short films of international directors devoted to the world of marble and the natural stone.

The Marmomacc gala took place, which distinguished the winners with the Best Communicator Award and the Masters of Stone Badge. Of all the companies of ANIET's entourage, we highlight the nomination, by the distinguished jury, of our member company AIREMÁRMORES for the Best Communicator Award, due to its clear emphasis in design and innovation.

Except the host country (Italy), Portugal was the 4th country with the greatest presence of exhibitors, only behind China, Turkey and India.

The 53rd edition of Marmomacc is scheduled to take place from September 26th to 29th, 2018.
